POSITION: National Credit Manager STATUS: Full-time LOCATION: Kohl & Frisch Limited (Concord, ON) REPORTS TO: VP, Finance DEPARTMENT: Finance

Primary Role of This Position The National Credit Manager is responsible for a large and diverse portfolio requiring excellent credit risk management skills, expertise in customer security agreements along with strong process and systems knowledge. This role will collaborate with the Supervisor, Credit & Collections on setting credit policies, monitoring credit lines, and collecting on past due and problem accounts.
Major Responsibilities
Manage credit risk of customers from small independent pharmacies to national accounts
Evaluate potential customers’ creditworthiness and get appropriate security agreements in place
Work closely with Sales, Customer Service, and Finance to ensure all credit related matters are addressed in a timely manner
Establish credit policies and procedures that are consistent with industry standards and company goals
Manage collection of accounts
Monitor and manage customer credit limits, making recommendations for changes when necessary
Demonstrate initiative to streamline processes and implement controls to ensure completeness, accuracy, and efficiency
Develop and maintain positive business relationships with our customers through regular communications and personal visits to further support credit recommendations
Prepare reports and provide analysis of credit and collections data to senior management
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations related to credit and collections
Create a strong and motivated team environment providing guidance and training as needed

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
10+ years of experience in credit and collections with at least 5 years in a management capacity
CCP Designation required
Private company experience preferred
Experience in wholesale distribution or pharmaceutical or healthcare environment is an asset
Contract management, project management, and negotiation skills preferred
ERP implementation and change management skills are an asset
Qualifications
Excellent credit risk management skills, including strong knowledge of credit policies, procedures, and practices
Expertise in customer security agreements
Solid understanding of legal process relating to credit issues
Excellent communication skills with executives, internal stakeholders, and external stakeholders
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Collaborative people leader managing a team of professionals
Strong Excel skills
Strong analytical and reporting skills
Being bilingual is an asset
Strong business process acumen with ability to clearly identify issues and work with other functions to address changing business requirements or process improvements
